Leslie T Chang gave a TED Talk on the subject of globalisation by talking to actual factory workers themselves. And she's brilliant. Stories of female workers in South Chinese factories neatly debunk silly Western media narratives about factory labour in China. It makes for fascinating viewing.

It seems that ten of my poems are to be entered into a competition. I hope one of them wins, as the prize is £500....

Well, let's sit back and watch... and work a tad, too, I'd wager. There's very little in my gallery that's realy competition worthy, though some of the works could be pretty good with a few tweaks here and there, which is precisely what I'm doing to them!

I have neglected my own account and my obligation to my hands ( that is, my obligation to write ) for far too long. Several journals in the past have referred to a novel I'm writing. Well, I have despaired of getting it up to an acceptable length for a first draft, so I've decided to just round off what I can and then hand it to my Jee Eff for joint editing with her, with the goal of making it both better and longer. Reaching 50,000 words has proven to be a real bitch for me. Also, more shall I write on here! And not just an odd outburst every now and then when I realise I've been neglectful. I'm going to make at least one addition, however long or short, every day from now on.

Let's see how that goes...
